Welcome to Robert Wright Drums
Robert Wright is a professional drummer based in Glasgow. He first showed a keen interest in music aged 9 and studied under Jack Smith Scottish session drummer from 2009-2016.
In 2017 after graduating from New College Lanarkshire with a HND in music performance, he began regularly performing local Glasgow gig’s and getting involved within the music circuit. It was networking from these gigs that he started getting regular work as a session player. Sessions include Dillon Squire, Connor Fyfe, Shambolics, Ben Walker, Parliamo, The Laurettes, John Rush & more.
Robert is fresh off supporting Liam Gallagher & John Squire on their 2024 UK tour.
Session Player

Drum Lessons
Robert operates his own private tuition within Main St. Studios, Coatbridge. These lessons were proven successful with a 100% National 5, Higher & Advanced Higher pass rate with many students choosing to study music in further education. (Full disclosure from Police Scotland) Drum lessons are for ages 6+ and cater to all abilities from complete beginners to more experienced players.
